2024 Christmas Parade Was A Success!
Thank You for Another Successful Holiday Gathering!
Citizens of Plymouth and visitors alike embraced the festive spirit, braving the cold to celebrate our cherished traditions on Friday, November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving.
The annual Chili Cook-Off was a delicious success, drawing crowds to Allechant Boutique, Antoinette's Casual Dining (set up in front of Maggie's Closet), Caan’s Garden & Gifts, Cain’s Bridal Wreath, Maggie’s Closet and the Plymouth Historical Society. Stores were bustling with people eager to sample the flavorful chili offerings, creating a warm and lively atmosphere to kick off the evening’s festivities. Thank you to everyone who supported this tasty tradition!
At 7 p.m. sharp, the Christmas Parade brought our community together in spectacular fashion, drawing thousands of locals and visitors to Mill Street from Caroline Street to North Avenue. Featuring a total of 80 floats, the parade showcased the heart and creativity of our community. The Plymouth Police Department led the procession, followed by the Color Guard, the Plymouth Fire Department and Captain Curd—the Cheese Crusader and beloved mascot of Masters Gallery Foods—who proudly served as Grand Marshal in honor of their 50th Anniversary. Mayor Don Pohlman, the downtown Queen for a Day and an array of floats by local businesses, organizations and nonprofits continued the celebration. Holiday music filled the air, lights sparkled throughout downtown and children were delighted with the abundance of candy that was handed out.
The parade concluded with Santa and Mrs. Claus, accompanied by the 2024 Santa Letter winner, Kaylee W. Together, they joined Santa and Mayor Pohlman to light the downtown Christmas tree at the intersection of North, Mill and Eastern Avenue—a truly magical moment for all.
