First Meet A Member Event Was A Success!
Our first Meet A Member event took place on Wednesday, April 17th from 5-7 pm at Devour. The purpose of this event was to bring together current, new and potential members to learn more about the value of a Plymouth Chamber of Commerce membership. The event brought over 25 attendees.
After an hour of networking and enjoying light hors d'oeuvres, attendees listened to a brief presentation from some of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
June Paris, Chamber Board President presented our mission:
“Our mission is to champion Plymouth businesses and tourism by serving as the leading business promotor, facilitating connections and resources.”
Derrick Hermann, Chamber Board Treasurer, spoke on networking. He explained the benefit of joining a Plymouth Referral Network Group (PRN). These groups offer attendees a way to build relationships and pass referrals. We offer two groups, both which meet at 7:30am on the 1st and 3rd week of the month, one on Tuesdays and the other on Thursdays. One business represents a category. Click here for more info.
Neal Moegenburg, Chamber Board President Elect talked about upcoming events. These include our Cheese Capital Festival on June 7th & 8th, Mill Street Festival on July 13th and Cheese Capital Wine Walk on August 16th. He also shared what additional events the Membership Committee wants to implement, including Business After Hours, Behind the Scenes tours and Lunch & Learns.
Courtney Booth, Board Member and Membership Committee Chair, discussed sponsorship opportunities.
